This week is a very important week for us and a big milestone in our live as well. Because we will sign the contract with the builder for our home in Twin Creek. After, the approval letter from the bank for a mortgage we could finally choose the upgrades, colors and flooring and we are able to sign the building contract. It is a very exciting moment for us. We are both very happy and looking forward to our new home, which should be finished in summer 2021.
There is a lot of paperwork we have to go through before we can sign the contract. There are certain rules and regulations we have to follow during the building period. E.g., we should not inspect the house without the sales agent, furthermore we can’t adjust or install something which is not according to the blueprint like extra wiring for the sound system or floor heating in the bathroom. This means for us we can do that only after closing and the house is in our names.
Before we signed the contract, we double checked everything to make sure we did not miss something, or anything is wrong on the contract. We choose the following upgrades: Gas stove with vent to the outside, Chimney in the living room, tank less gas water heater and additional lightning in the master bedroom. It was important to us to have a house where natural gas is available instead of electric, this mainly to keep the utility cost low. They already started moving dirt on the lot and putting some gravel on the entrance. I will go at least ones a week to our new house and check out what there are doing and of course taking some pictures.
