On Thursday morning I did the on boarding for the new job at DT. I took me a while to get through all the paperwork because I had to sign around 30 different documents. However, after 1 hour or so I was finished with reading and signing. Right after that I prepared some nice breakfast for me and Leslie. Later the day we decided to go to Home Depot to shop for a new washer and dryer for the new house. I had already some products in mind I would like and did beforehand some research about Samsung and LG. At the store we could have a look at the washer and dryer they had on display. Unfortunately, we could not make a decision at the store. Luckily, the sale ends in 4 days, so we have plenty of time to make a decision.
On the way back we stopped at the liquor store and at CWS to buy some gin and Leslie needed more makeup. Back at the house we decided to go for our traditional neighborhood walk to have a deep conversation about life and what we like to achieve, on the way wake to the house we went to the community pool to cool down before walked back home. Tonight, we decided to go out for dinner because it is one of our days off together. We went to Fulins, the Chinese which we have been may times. This restaurant serves very good food, and the server are always very friendly and nice. I ordered my Mongolian beef and Leslie had big sushi roll and a mixed platen.
On Sunday morning I started the Module 7 of my online course. This course topic is about is about Value at risk (VaR) and how we can measure VaR. There are three methods which I will get to learn in this module. Historical Simulation, Delta-Normal Approach and Monte Carlo approach.
When Leslie went to work around 10 am, I drove to Home Depot to get a light bulb socket for my lamp I am currently building out of wine cork. In the mean while we have made the decision about the washer and the dryer, my plan was to order it at the store, but I could not because I did not know the new delivery address a 100%. On my way back to the house I stopped at ALDI to buy some groceries for the next few days. Back home I had a little lunch before I went on my neighborhood walk. The weather was nice, and it was not to hot outside.
Later in the afternoon I did some laundry and cleaning, before I started preparing dinner for me and Leslie. Leslie will go to another restaurant in Meridian MS where she has been a few months ago. That means I will be by myself for a couple of days until mum comes back from here trip on Wednesday. When Leslie came home, we had a few hours together, where we ordered the washer and dryer online over the website form Home Depot, we are both looking forward for the new appliances.
