Week 12

This week, the walls were built. The whole frame framework for the walls were built on site and assembled by the constructor workers. They made a huge progress in just one day.

Week 12

After fishing the frame work for the walls they started to mount the roof with the prefabricated elements. Furthermore, they began to nail the actual walls to the framework and added the first layer of insulation.

Week 13

This week, the constructor worker started roofing, they added a weather a layer of  protection foil over the wooden roof. Middle in the week they had to stop working on the outside of the house due to bad weather condition. However, they started to work instead in the inside of the house. The electrician started wiring and a part of the chimney got installed as well.

Week 14

This week, the constructor worker started to install the ventilation trough the roof and put in some of the windows. Furthermore the electrician continued wiring the wires for the AC unit as well as for the washer and dryer.

Week 15

This week, the constructor worker made progress inside of the house. They installed the pluming and venting to the outside as well as they finished the electrical wiring including TV and LAN cables. Furthermore the AC unit inside is in place and all the air hoses are connected to the vents.

Week 16

While we were on our trip to Texas, the constructor worker put the shingles on the roof as well as the hood for the chimney. Moreover, the pipes for the GAS stove and water heater have been installed. Now the inside is ready for inspection before they start closing the walls and ceiling.

Week 17

There was not much visible progress over the last two weeks. The builder is still preforming the inspection, which can take up to 3 weeks.

Week 18-19

The builder is still preforming the inspection, which can take up to 3 weeks. In the meanwhile on the outside, the “house” was connected to the power box on the street. Therefore they hat do dig a channel in the ground to lay the cables underground.

Week 20

Finally the inspection is over and the construction worker continued working on the interior of the house.  They started to install the insulation on the outside walls as well as closed all the gaps and wholes to the outside to make sure is good insulated.
