Calendar Week 52 – New Year’s Eve and new year

This is the last day of 2020, finally we reached the end of the year, which was a roller coaster ride. Furthermore, he whole relocating which included a long decision-making process what we would like to bring to America and what we sell or give away. Remember we moved with only two suitcases each and two small cabin bags. However, we made it over here and started so settle down in mum`s upstairs until our house is finish.

Today i could leave work at 1700 an hour earlier than usual, which was nice, so i could spend more time with the family. Leslie had here day off, so she went out and ordered some take out from the Chinese restaurant. Today, we thought its a good idea to order out, so that we do not have to spend to much time in the kitchen. Instead, we could have a nice apéro together, moreover, we played a new card game and had some nice drinks. For dessert we had an angel’s cake which was super delicious. We were listening to some music and basically waiting for the new year. As it got closer to midnight, we watched the on TV the New York times square new year celebration. An hour later, we it was time for us to get ready for the countdown in our time zone. We had another glass of prosecco to make cheers and celebrate the start of a new year and a new chapter in our live. soon after we all went to bed to get some rest.
